Have you seen...

I am sure we left these at someone's house somewhere:

-7-8 Dirty babies (Luci's pink baby). We are down to 2!

-Cooper's black Converse

-Mommy's sanity?

First Baseball Game

B & C had their first game last weekend.  They did great!!!  I can't believe how little the guys look in their costumes (they are quick to correct me -"UNIFORMS MOM!"

They had a great game, both made runs and great plays.  the most exciting time of the day was buying and wearing the "armour" they wear in their underpants...boys!

Robin's eggs in our tree

Aren't they cute? Let's hope the kids believe me when I told them that it is not candy!

Dear Uncle Mike & Jenny,

You smell like fish paste....in a barn!

Love,
B & C

Sick day

Ben is home sick today. He was up all night coughing and scratching. I'm sure his asthma/allergies aren't helping his cold :(

It was the first time either of them had to stay home sick. When we told Ben this morning, he cried because he wanted to go to school, and then Charlie cried because he didn't want to go alone. Then Charlie's bus just drove right past out house (substitute driver), so Charlie, Cooper and I (in our pjs) start running down the street like crazy people at 7:30 am!

It's been a very strange day with Ben, Luci and Cooper home. Luci and Cooper love it! I've gotten a lot done because Ben is here to keep them amused. Ben and Luci played animal doctor for 2 hours! I've never seen the two of them play so nicely and quietly together, so it's been good for them. Let's just hope the other two don't get sick!

Waiting

One more of Coop waiting for the "Bye-Bye" to get here.

Coop and his balls

He loves balls! He always has some sort of ball in one hand and something to hit it with in the other. Could be a tennis racket, bat, stick, shovel....

Uh-Oh

Cooper makes a very deliberate O shape with his mouth. He gets it just right before he proclaims "UH OH!"

Speaking of language....

I rarely correct my kids on some of the words they come up with. I know I am doign them a disservice, but it's just too cute. Ben and Charlie are starting to self-correct now that they are in school ( I hope they weren't made fun of too badly!).

Here is translation for some of their cute lingo:

Ben and Charlie (I usually don't lump them together, but they do have their own language):
Oboe = Elbow
Stuffy Woof = Stuffed Animal

Luci
Baba = Sippy cup with milk
MyOWNself = Myself

Cooper
Ma = More
Ma = I'm tired
Ma = Hold me
Ma = I'm bored
Dog = Dog
Dog = Horse
Dog=Lama
Ba = Ball
Baba = Warm milk in Sippy cup
grrrrr = bark
grrrrr = meow
grrrrr = fish
Dada = Daddy
Yah = Yes
Da? = What's that?
Bye-Bye = Bus (because that's what we say to the bus every morning)

Have to run. I'll add more later.

Sweet Lulu

Cooper is taking his morning nap and Luci and I logged on to order a copy of Sleeping Beauty from Ebay. $40 later we are all (Luci, Dirty Baby, and I) just sitting in the big brown chair chilling and watching Land Before Time.

It's hard to imagine her as anything other than this sweet curly-topped little girl. I can't correct her English or her lisp because I'm afraid that will make her grow up. I can't discourage the thumb sucking for the same reason.

I love her so much.

Just a few from today's WINDY day

We went for a two hour walk around Peck Farm. I let them out for the last stretch. Check out Coop's comb-over.

Rainy Day

Luci LOVES to color and Cooper loves to steal her crayons. It was funny that we were coloring Dora because Cooper is Swiper. "Swiper no swiping!"

Good morning Lulu

This is how our sweet, beautiful girl wakes up every morning. Everyone knows not to talk to her for at least 15 minutes and you'd better not be sitting in her chair (the middle stool).

...and just a few short hours, she is as sweet as can be:

I think it's time for some new socks

While we're at it the BOYS have holes in everything! Pants have holes in the knees and shirts have holes in the sleeves and cuffs. Are they eating them?

Ben sent a letter

I went the the mailbox to put some outgoing mail in there and I noticed this green envelope sitting in there.

Ben was trying to send a letter to his cousin. He addressed himself, put on the biggest stamp he could find, and put it in the mailbox. He even put the flag up! All on his own.

Things that come out the same way they go in...

Peas
Corn
Mandarin Oranges

That's pretty much all Cooper ate today. Think he got any nutrients from them?

Tooth Fairy

Dear Tooth Fairy,

You suck! I cannot believe you did not deliver Charlie's money before he woke up.

I understand that you are probably very old and it must be hard to carry around all that change and get to all of those children, but that is no excuse. Perhaps you should hire an assistant. I think Santa could loan you a few elves this time of year.

Thank goodness you delivered while Charlie was eating breakfast because we would have had one very sad little boy on our hands.

Sincerely,
Kendra O.

ps - I heard you are paying some children $50 a tooth! I think that's entirely unfair and probably needs to be regulated.

No more oatmeal !

Coper didn't like the oatmeal, but he thought it was real funny to spit it out all over me!

Here's one from the other day that way way underexposed. My friend saved it for me in Photoshop (something I could not do!):

And Happy Birthday to baby Henry!!!!! Our nephew came a little early today!

Just a few

Here are a few pics form today.

We fed the ducks and then the kids ran away from me as I tried to take their pictures. Cooper and Ben succeeded.

Here's an idea for someone...

Someone should start a publishing business for blogs. You should find a way to print and bind people's blogs into nice keepsakes or coffee table books.

Please feel free to steal my idea so that I can use your services.

I want a horse.

Luci: Mommy, I want a horse.

Mommy: Well, where will we keep it? In your room?

Luci: No, it can live in Ben and Charlie's room.

And Luci Frances...

...was names after my grandma (Frances). My grandma is such a lady. I don't know if Luci is living up to the name.

Luci knew how to blow her nose when she was 9 months old and has had a drippy nose ever since. I think she has finally given up on Kleenex.

My Beautiful Grandma

Isn't she stunning? She has the best laugh ever. It hasn't changed since I was 8 years old (and probably was the same WAY before then, but I don't remember).

They are so grown up....

Just now...

Ben (in his most accusatory voice): Mommmmm....I got laughed at today!

Mom: Oh no! Why?

Ben: BECAUSE you packed an Elmo juice box for my snack.

I'm so sad :(

Couple more from today....

Luci tried FOREVER to get this sign in the ground. She loves her boots. Not sure what we'll do in the summer!

Cooper is obsessed with balls! This was Charlie's jacket and it freaks me out because it seems like yesterday that Charlie was wearing it.

This was from L's Easter basket. Cooper was chasing her and she was having fun bouncing away from him!

It was finally a little warm!

Luci tried fo

Cooper at lunch today

Sorry! I need more pics of the other kids, but they run away when my camera comes out. Cooper is stuck with me (for now!)

What the....

Ben: Mom! Look at Cooper! He took his own shirt off!

Mom: Wow! How did he do that?

Charlie: What the He*&!

Mom: WHAT did you just say?

Charlie (obviously sensing the shocked and upset tone in my voice): What? I didn't say heck!

Mom: Well what you said is an even worse word. Where do you hear that?

Charlie: Grandmama!

Mom: I don't think Grandmama said that.

Charlie: Yes, we were playing webkins and she couldn't get Grandmoomoo (Grandmama's Webkin cow) to move to the next spot, so she said "What the He*&"

Free Mini-Sessions Sat., May 17

Hi!

I am doing free spring mini-sessions at the Fabyan Forest Preserve (near the Japanese Tea Gardens on the old Fabyan property) in Geneva on Saturday, May 17. Sessions will last 45 minutes per family.

This is one of my favorite locations because there are great trees that are low for the children to sit on, interesting rocks and arches, two bridges, and the river. There might not be a ton of foliage yet, but that makes it even more interesting, especially if you wear color!

Please et me know if you are interested and what time works best so that I can get you into the schedule. I can take 6-7 clients that day. I will schedule you to arrive in one hour increments.

If it rains, we can reschedule for the following day. If it's cold or cloudy, that's OK! Cloudy is great for pictures. If the ground is wet, bring some boots, a raincoat or an umbrella. We can splash in puddles!

You will be presented with 5-10 of the best images for each child or group shot in your private online gallery within one week. If you order right away, we can get prints back in time for Father's Day.

The sessions are free and print prices are the same as listing on my site.

Thanks so much!
