We woke up and headed to the Magic Kingdom on the shuttle from our hotel.
Grandmama and Charlie
On the Ferry to MK
We're here!
Ben DID NOT like the Buzz Lightyear ride (or any ride with scary creatures).
In Winnie the Pooh's House:
Lunch at Liberty Tree. We celebrated Luci's birthday - one of many celebrations. She was scared of all the boy characters. We tried to con Dale into saying he was a girl, but he wasn't having it.
Disney has a little scam going. They put up all of these signs for their "Pirate and Princess Party" and get the kids really excited about it. Then they close the park early and charge admission to get back in for the Pirate and Princess party. We really weren't ready to leave, so of course we stayed for the party. After we bought the tickets and Pirate and Princess costumes, Luci got sick....all over Grandmama. Like any good mom, we cleaned her up and got her comfy in the stroller. No way were we leaving then!
We were there until midnight and had a blast! Even though I still think it's a very un-Disney-like scam, it was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We watched the nighttime show and parade, went on lots of rides, attended a dance party and went on a treasure hunt.
Luci right after she got sick:

I agree (re: the scam) but what fun we had. As we were waiting for the parade, both Kendra and I looked at each other and just smiled. The Princess were dancing in front of the castle, there were fireworks and every child and adult were smiling. A darling little princess next to us had quite a crush on the boys. We thought they were darling and while the adults were congratulating each other on each other's darling kids, we turned around to see their sweet little princess engaging Ben and Charlie in a sword fight (she was using her magic wand) Of course, the boys were happy to oblige. Oh well, I guess she didn't need saving that day!!! For the record, Luci DID perk up and had a great time after her little .... ooooops.
Love Mom/Grandmama
