My kids aren't always cute.

Thank you all so much for your kind words about our kids. We think they are pretty cute too.

Uncle Tom sent me a very kind note complimenting the beauty of our children. It was a bit over-the-top, so I feel the need to come clean on a couple things.

While I'd like to attribute their cuteness on their stellar genes, I don't think I can. I will, however, take credit for the painstaking work I do to get them scrubbed, combed, and dressed every morning.

I mean, it must take a pretty spectacular mom to turn this:

every morning.

Just in case you were thinking that our family looked a little too angelic, take a look at this:

Now, you must have posed them. I just KNOW they must never look like that. In fact, none of the eight Grandchildren would EVER look like that....right? (and that's the beauty of being a Grandparent, we just see the lovely stuff)

On the other hand, OUR children were ALL angelic :)

Sorry, Kendra, I think motherhood may have warped your reality. Do you seriously think a picture of Luci with some mussy hair and a Sports Illustrated-worthy action photo of your kids fighting proves anything? Get real, girl! I still content that you and Mark have somehow rigged an unfair corner on the "Gorgeous Child" gene. I'm just asking that you leave a few for the rest of the planet. I end by saying your case has NOT been proven!
